RMS Featherweight Original Reacher — 26-Inch Mobility Grabber
Product description
Designed for people with chronic mobility, flexibility, or reach restrictions that affect the back, hips, shoulders, or hand strength, this orthopedic reacher helps users maintain an upright posture while retrieving items.
Available in two lengths — a 26-inch model and a 32-inch model — the tool extends reach to pick up things from floors, shelves, behind furniture, or tight gaps without stooping, twisting, or overreaching.
Construction combines a lightweight reinforced aluminum shaft with a contoured ergonomic handle and a smooth, easy-pull trigger made to reduce hand fatigue and improve control for users with arthritis or weakened grip.
The grabber head features a wide, slim-profile jaw with textured rubber pads and grooves for secure, non-slip grasping. A magnetic tip is embedded in the jaw to assist in picking up small metal objects such as keys or pins.
An integrated dressing post on the unit helps with clothing tasks like pulling up underwear or adjusting garments, and a clip attachment lets the reacher be secured to mobility aids such as canes, walkers, wheelchairs, or bed rails for immediate access.
Engineered for daily use, the Featherweight design emphasizes durability while keeping overall weight minimal so repeated handling and operation do not add strain.

Very easy to use
Simple to handle and operates smoothly. Works great.

Functional but tip is bulky
Does the job, but the grab-end tips are a bit thick, making it harder to slide under some items.

Looks delicate but is tough
It appears frail at first glance, but it’s light and durable. It will lift a soda can and the jaw opens wide. The control cord can be replaced and I’ve even used it to steady myself briefly.

Walker clip finally reliable
I’ve purchased several over time; this one’s clip fits my walker securely. Keeps the reacher within reach and hasn’t failed like a prior model.

Still dependable after years
Great value and robust. I used mine daily for eight years and only now notice a slight loss of grip. Highly recommend.

Ideal choice for dressing tasks
Designed for clothing assistance — the slim, grooved rubber jaws grab underwear and pants reliably. My therapist-issued one lasted years; this replacement performs the same. I genuinely couldn’t dress without it.

Perfect for pet chores
I’m preparing for back surgery and needed something to refill my cats’ bowls and pick up dropped items. It’s been sturdy during practice and quite useful.

Simple design that endures
Owned one for six years and it’s still going. Avoid the flimsy plastic options — the reinforced shaft and straightforward pull mechanism last.

SpokenWheel 5/5
Solid and repairable
Grippy, strong, and simple mechanics. Minor damage can often be fixed by users themselves.

Outlasts cheap alternatives
After repeatedly breaking inexpensive models, I returned to this design. The working parts sit in an aluminum channel so they don’t fail like plastic mechanisms. Much more durable.

Good reach, magnet is weak
Length is spot on. The magnet lifts small metal bits but isn’t very strong. Like many grabbers, paper is tricky, but contoured objects are easy.

Remember the length
The 70cm/32-inch size is handy but does require some bending to reach the floor. Grip quality and construction are excellent.

Works for light tasks, not heavy lifting
I bought this as a backup due to severe back issues. It picks up pills and small items fine, but unlike my medical-grade unit it won’t lift a full 16oz bottle or heavier objects.
