Custom Blackout Honeycomb Skylight Window Shade — Dark Grey (93021F)
Product description
Complete blackout solution for skylights and roof windows
The shade uses a premium honeycomb (cellular) fabric bonded to a thin aluminum backing to prevent sunlight, glare and UV from entering through overhead glazing. The multilayer material creates a reliable dark-out effect suitable for bedrooms, lofts and media rooms.
Thermally efficient cellular construction
Hollow cellular pockets trap air and reduce heat transfer, helping interiors stay cooler in summer and retain warmth in winter. This passive insulation can lower HVAC demand over the year.
Cordless, manually operated design
The shade is operated by hand — no motor, cords, or power required. The cordless mechanism removes dangling lines, improving child and pet safety and simplifying daily opening and closing.
Made for angled and ceiling windows
Specifically manufactured for skylights, sloped frames and ceiling windows. Each unit is cut to custom dimensions so it can be installed inside the window frame for a tidy, built-in appearance.
Sturdy components and simple mounting
Included parts: aluminum headrail, assembled honeycomb panel, frame pieces and basic mounting hardware. The headrail is aluminum for long-term stability and the fabric is UV-resistant to limit sagging or fading. Installation is designed to be handled with basic tools and follows a straightforward hardware mounting process.

Blocks all incoming light
This shade completely eliminates light from the skylight. The kids love the darkened room. A standard blind wouldn't do the job, so this saved me from replacing the whole skylight.

Great at blocking heat, needs a way to hold positions
Does an excellent job cutting solar heat through the skylight. My only complaint is there’s no mechanism to keep the pleats fixed open or closed — they act like an accordion. I bought adhesive magnets to try and secure set positions. The materials feel solid and it’s lightweight and easy to install. Worth buying for the insulation alone.

True blackout, good communication, long-lasting
The maker was helpful checking my dimensions and corrected a sizing mistake I made. The white panel I received at 42" x 43" fits well and keeps heat out, so my AC runs less. Seems durable — add a small wood block at one end during installation to help hold the frame while fastening the opposite side.

Very pleased — good confirmation and fit
After researching skylight shades, these offered strong performance at a reasonable cost. The seller contacted me to verify measurements before production, which was reassuring. My two panels were slightly different by 1/4", likely due to the frame, but overall the installation was easy and the result is excellent. Measure carefully and confirm the frame is square.

Fast setup, operates smoothly once oriented correctly
We bought four blinds for skylights and the temperature improvement was noticeable in summer. My husband measured per directions and the maker trimmed 1/4" as advised. The first one took about 45 minutes because it was mounted backwards (slider opening was facing up), but flipping it fixed the issue. The remaining three were installed much faster and now keep the rooms comfortable.

Poor design and unreliable for my install
I waited a long time, scheduled a contractor, and found the length was off for my opening. Once mounted the shade would not stay closed or hold a partial position and kept springing back. Instructions were incomplete and my contractor noted missing or poorly designed parts. Not a good fit for my project; I would look for other options.

Good value and fit when measured carefully
I rarely post reviews but wanted to note my positive experience. I measured precisely and ordered without adjustments. The unit arrived sooner than expected and included simple instructions plus pre-drilled holes in the frame. I assembled it on the floor and paid attention to which side faces the room; the side with the slider gap faces inward. The shade fits our skylight nearly perfectly with only about a 1/8" gap.

Well made and straightforward assembly
I ordered the light gray version and found assembly quick with the four main screws provided. If attaching the B frames, orient the large opening toward the blind to align the screws. I assembled it on the floor in minutes. The gray fabric faces the interior and the white side faces out to reflect sun. Note: they ship 1/4" under the ordered size by design, and I ended up using longer mounting screws for my deeper reveal.
