Product description

Large tin washboard designed for hand laundry and decorative use.

Overall size: 23 inches tall by 12.25 inches wide. The corrugated tin area set into the body measures approximately 10.5 inches wide by 12.5 inches tall. The body combines a wooden frame with a galvanized tin scrubbing surface.

What’s included: the single washboard unit. Materials: natural wood frame and galvanized tin panel. Intended uses: hand-washing small or delicate garments, a decorative accent for a laundry room, or as a hand percussion instrument in folk and jug-band styles. Care note: wood is untreated and should be dried after use; tin provides the textured surface for scrubbing.

Pros

  • Generous size for delicates
  • Versatile as decor or instrument
  • Galvanized tin scrubbing surface

Cons

  • Tin panel is fairly thin
  • Wood arrives untreated
  • Not ideal for heavy-duty washing

    Beautifully Made and Packaged

Very attractive and well-crafted. It arrived carefully wrapped and fits my sink perfectly. The workmanship impressed me and the seller’s care in packaging was notable. I don’t usually review products, but this one deserved a mention.

  2. Kindle Customer 5/5

    Met My Expectations

Exactly what I expected. I wasn’t sure at first, but after using it I was satisfied with the performance.

Pretty but Not Built for Heavy Use

Looks lovely as a decorative element, but the wood came untreated and a bit rough so I had to seal it myself. The tin is thin, so I don’t trust it for heavy, regular scrubbing of large items. I’m using it more for display than continuous laundering.

Saved Me When My Washer Failed

Worked wonderfully for laundry while my machine was out of service.

  5. DIANA RODRIGUEZ 5/5

    Nostalgic and Practical

Feels like the old days. Perfect for washing delicate pieces.

  6. Shantrell Smith 5/5

    Handy for Delicates

A little on the small side for my taste, but sturdy and gets delicate items clean.

  7. R. Gamez 5/5

    Calming and Hands-On

I started hand-washing to avoid shared laundry hassles and this board has been great. I use a small setup — knee pad, bucket, soap, bathtub — and this replaces the need to wait for machines. The steady scrubbing rhythm is oddly soothing. I do small loads every other day and hope it lasts for years.

  8. JMarie 5/5

    Solid Quality for Small Items

Good build and arrived well protected. It feels durable and the natural wood look is appealing. It came assembled and is the right size for small or baby clothes, which is why I bought it.
