SOMWISE Frosted Window Privacy Film — Decorative Static-Cling Window Film
Product description
Ivy Jade | Nature & Serene, Refined & Timeless
This decorative privacy film is a frosted, printed cling designed to obscure views while allowing diffused daylight to enter. The material is a sturdy, thick static-cling film printed with fade-resistant inks for long-lasting color and pattern integrity. It’s engineered to block up to 96% of ultraviolet rays to help protect furnishings and reduce glare.
Each purchase arrives ready for a DIY fit: the sheet can be trimmed to size to accommodate a wide range of window and door openings — panels are offered in various widths and lengths so you can cut them to match your frames. Application is solvent-free: wet the glass, position the cling, then smooth with a flat applicator to push out bubbles.
A modest installation kit is included to get you started — a refillable spray bottle (mini), a cutting tool or safety blade, and a flat squeegee-like card or spatula to remove trapped water and air. Because it uses static cling rather than adhesive, the film is removable, reusable, renter-friendly, and safe around plants and furniture when installed correctly.
Use cases include bathroom windows, front doors, glass partitions, and any window where you want privacy without total blackout. It also creates colorful light effects when direct sun hits the print, adding decorative appeal while helping to moderate heat and screen glare.

Bright, private, and easy to trim
Exceeded my expectations for ease of installation. It’s simple to cut and, when applied with plenty of water, adheres well yet can be slid for fine adjustments. Backing peels off easily and no adhesive is left behind. Even on cloudy days you can see the subtle color effects. The package included a utility knife, a spatula and a spray bottle.

Vivid colors, simple fit
I enjoy the stained-glass appearance — the rainbow hues are beautiful in direct sun. It adds privacy without making the room dark and was easy to stick on. A neat, inexpensive way to add personality to a window.

Excellent privacy cling
These cling panels do their job: they admit light, block views, and install quickly. The tiny spray bottle that comes with it works but evaporates as you move across a large pane — I recommend using a larger mist bottle for best results.

Simple to fit and attractive
I purchased this for privacy and it also improved the room’s look. The stained-glass effect casts colorful light without appearing tacky. The static-cling application was forgiving — I repositioned it a few times and it went on smoothly using water. It blocks views but still lets natural light in, just what I needed.

Solid static-cling option
Nice thick cling film for bathroom glass — not flimsy and lets a lot of light through while keeping things private. Application was straightforward and it arrived with a tiny refillable spray bottle, a safety blade, and a flat card to remove bubbles. When multiple panels are used the pattern aligns well.

Marie Weber 5/5
Sturdy and durable
Applied easily and has stayed put for months. My bathroom used to be visible at night, and this solved that problem. The thickness also helps cut some of the incoming heat. Cutting can be awkward — lay it on tile and use a sharp blade for a clean edge.

Lovely and private
It blocks the view into the room while preserving daylight. The panel was a bit narrow for my window but still worth it; the design looks beautiful.

Really enjoying it
So far it’s holding up nicely. Setup was easy and everything needed was included; it adheres firmly. When sunlight hits it, my room fills with rainbows which I love. It feels cooler in the room, though I’m still watching to be sure. The film is durable and the cutter provided is quite sharp.

Great for windows with plants
Used near my plant shelf and they thrive with bright indirect light; the sill and glass don’t heat up. Colors stay vivid and the pattern is opaque enough to stop peeking. The rainbow is more of a halo than scattered glitter, which I prefer. Came with a spray bottle, squeegee and cutter — the squeegee is passable but I used a better one. Measure carefully before cutting.

Cute and simple to mount
I love it! Installation was quick and it has not shifted after weeks of testing (I poked it a bit). It provides solid privacy while keeping a cheerful, decorative vibe.
