Prang Half-Pan Watercolor Set — 8 Semi-Moist Colors with Brush
Product description
These are semi-moist half-pan watercolors formulated without wax extenders so pigments stay clear and mix cleanly. The pans are designed to rewet easily and maintain color integrity as you paint.
The set contains eight refillable half pans in Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet, Black, and Brown housed in a sturdy case with built-in mixing wells and a white segmented lid to check true color mixes. A size 6 paintbrush is included so the kit is ready to use straight away.
Coated for student use and AP certified for safety, the paints are aimed at classroom and home art projects. The brand stands behind the product with a replacement promise if it fails to meet expectations.
To use, simply wet a pan and pick up pigment with the brush, blending in the lid wells as needed. The compact design makes it easy to carry for lessons, sketching outdoors, or general craft activities.
Pros
- Bright, mixable semi-moist pigments

Blue-label edition has richer hues
The blue-label pallet produced stronger colors than the white-label version I tried. Item photo showed rectangular pans, but the set arrived with oval pans; a couple shades (Orange, Purple) looked different in person.

Terrific value for reliable pans
A friend has used this exact pan for seven years and still gets excellent mileage from it. The pigments rewet and mix like higher-end watercolors, and the set offers great performance for the price. Definitely recommend for artists on a budget.

Picture changed but paints are solid
I ordered because a black metal box was pictured, but the item arrived in the plastic case. I kept it since the removable square pans are convenient and the pigments are bright. The size 6 brush works fine for beginners and the set is great for students practicing mixing.
