Five Star 1-Subject Graph Ruled Spiral Notebook, 8.5 x 11, 100 Sheets
Product description
Built for everyday school and project use, this Five Star 1-subject spiral notebook includes 100 double-sided, graph-ruled sheets with four squares per inch—ideal for charts, diagrams, math and engineering work. The pages are perforated for neat removal; when torn out each sheet measures 11" x 8-1/2". The notebook's overall footprint is approximately 11" x 9 1/8".
A tough plastic front cover is water-resistant to help shield notes from spills and wear, while the back is a firmer cardboard. The notebook features a patented, reinforced storage pocket designed to hold standard 8-1/2" x 11" handouts and loose papers and to resist tearing. A Spiral Lock wire is used for the binding to help prevent the coil from catching on clothing or bags, and the Neat Sheet perforation ensures pages come out with clean edges.
Paper quality emphasizes ink control: the stock is designed to limit bleed-through so pens and highlighters won’t easily show on the reverse side. The paper is sourced from SFI-certified fiber, and the notebook can be recycled—simply remove the reinforcement tape from the pocket before recycling the rest.
Digital support is available through the Five Star Study App, which lets you scan pages, generate instant flashcards and back up your notes to Google Drive for access from other devices. A one-year guarantee covers durability from the purchase or delivery date, with the usual exclusions for misuse. Available in Tidewater Blue.
Pros
- Ink-resistant graph paper (4 sq/in)
- Water-resistant plastic front cover
- Reinforced pocket and snag-resistant Spiral Lock
Cons
- Back cover is cardboard and can deform if wet
- Some users may prefer thicker pages
- Pocket reinforcement tape must be removed for recycling
VerdictA dependable, classroom-ready graph notebook that balances durability with practical features. Thick, double-sided graph pages resist bleed-through, the reinforced pocket holds loose handouts, and the Spiral Lock coil reduces snags. Perforated, clean-tearing pages and a water-resistant cover make it a solid choice for students and professionals who need reliable graph paper and easy organization.

Good Basic Graphing Notebook
Does what you'd expect: plenty of pages, effective bleed resistance, and a reliable grid. Bought it for my 8th grader and it performs well for everyday use.

Helpful Grid for Notes
Nice notebook. The graph layout makes tracking tasks and taking structured notes much easier.

Very Good Quality
Good quality overall. Pages tear out cleanly but don't fall free from the binding with light tugs, unlike some notebooks of this style.

Good Value, Flexible Cover
I prefer flexible covers—they're easier to handle and gentler to use. The front is easy to clean and the internal pockets help keep things organized. The sheets feel a bit thin and a little rough compared with what I'm used to, and the cardboard back can swell if it gets wet, but overall it's a good value.

A Notebook That Became Part of My Routine
At first glance it seemed ordinary, but it quickly became something I relied on. The soft plastic cover protects well through a whole Geometry course, and the paper stands up to highlighters without bleeding to the next page. Pages are sturdy enough for firm writing and the grid fits diagrams and notes perfectly. Highly recommend.

My Personal Experience
Front cover is reinforced plastic in the same color as the picture; the back is thinner cardboard. Between the cover and the paper there is a strengthened divider with two pockets, one on each side. The graph paper has medium-sized squares in a light blue tone on white sheets. Overall paper quality matches typical school notebooks.

Clean Perforations — No Ragged Edges
Like the color and the solid backboard. The spiral doesn't snag the cover so it lays flat. I chose this because pages tear at the perforation instead of being pulled from the coil, so there are no jagged edges. The included pocket is handy for loose assignments.

My Go-To Spiral Notebook — Five Stars
This has become my everyday notebook for lists, ideas and study notes. The spiral endures constant use, the paper resists bleed-through, and it lies flat on a desk or in my lap. Lightweight but durable—great for carrying in a backpack.

Paper Feels Thin
Not the best paper quality. Gel pens show spots on the reverse side.
