AirPods Max 2 Over-Ear Wireless Headphones — Blue
Product description
Advanced sound architecture and processing: These over-ear headphones are powered by Apple’s H2 chip, tuned to deliver expanded lows, detailed mids, and sparkling highs for lifelike playback across music, movies, and calls.
Noise control and listening modes: Active Noise Cancellation is significantly improved versus the prior model, letting you immerse yourself in audio with fewer distractions. Adaptive Audio automatically alters the cancellation level to suit your surroundings. Conversation Awareness lowers volume so you can speak to someone near you, while Transparency mode lets ambient sound in when you need it.
Spatial and translation features: Personalized Spatial Audio uses a profile created from your ear geometry together with dynamic head tracking to produce a surround-like listening field. Press and hold the listening-mode control to enable Live Translation, which uses Apple Intelligence to translate a speaker’s words into your chosen language when paired with a compatible device.
Build, fit, and materials: The design includes a breathable knit‑mesh canopy, memory-foam ear cushions covered in custom textile, and adjustable telescoping arms for a tailored over-ear fit. The headphones are available in five colorways and engineered for extended comfort during long listening sessions.
Wired playback and battery: For lossless playback, connect the headphones with USB-C to your source device to preserve original recording detail. A single charge provides up to 20 hours of listening or video playback with Active Noise Cancellation and Spatial Audio enabled.
Compatibility and requirements: Live Translation and some advanced features require the latest firmware and pairing with an Apple Intelligence–enabled iPhone running iOS 26.4 or later; Live Translation is currently available in beta and may not be offered in all regions or languages. Spatial Audio works with supported content and apps. Creating a personalized spatial profile requires an iPhone with a TrueDepth camera.

Best noise cancellation and deep sound
ANC handled city noise during a street call and the person I spoke with didn’t notice my surroundings. Playback is deep and supports lossless over USB-C — the sound quality is impressive.

Effortless for Apple device users
After weeks of use they’re my pick for travel and daily listening. Sound is detailed and punchy without muddy bass. ANC silences household noise and conversations. They feel weighty but premium; the mesh band and soft cushions make long sessions fine. Pairing and device switching in the Apple ecosystem is instantaneous, and battery life is strong.

Extremely satisfied — highly recommended
I’ve owned many headphones and these are the best for my listening. Audio is detailed, bass rich but controlled, and I keep noticing new elements in songs. ANC is superb and Transparency mode is natural. Comfortable for long stretches. Expensive, but worth it to me.

Great performance, pricey
Performance and build are excellent, but they cost more than many rival flagship wireless headphones. For Apple users wanting seamless integration, premium ANC, and top materials, they’re worth considering if you accept the premium.

A workhorse I didn’t expect
I bought these for focused work on my Mac and PC and after two weeks they’ve become essential. The noise cancellation really removes distractions — voices, TV, and HVAC all fade. Sound is balanced and precise for music, video editing, and long calls. They were snug at first, but a bit of wearing in solved that.

Completely in love — my perfect pair
Excellent over-ear headphones, especially if you’re deep in Apple’s ecosystem. Make sure they’re positioned correctly for calls — I once had them on backwards and sounded distant. Phone calls come through clear, music and TV shine (I use them with Apple TV). I protect the light headband and cups with covers. Battery lasts all day for me.

Apple fan approved — stylish and solid
I’m an Apple fan and these still impressed me. The Starlight finish looks refined and versatile. Fit is premium thanks to memory foam ear pads and a knit-mesh canopy. They have some heft but feel high-quality, and the telescoping arms give a tailored fit that sits comfortably for long wear.

Top-tier sound with a small glitch
These are the best headphones I’ve used — strong noise cancellation and the live translate feature is impressive. They’re a bit heavy but very comfortable. Seamless iOS pairing helps battery last when you need it. I docked one star because a bug with the carrying case can prevent automatic reconnection; seems software-fixable.

Sound that matched my expectations
I switched from Audio‑Technica M50x models and hoped for a similar signature. The Max 2 met or exceeded my hopes—detailed, balanced, and a real contender among my favorites. ANC was the main draw and it performs well. If you like the sound of those other GOATs, you’ll probably appreciate these too.
