Kanto SP6HD Desktop Speaker Stands — 6" Steel Pair for 4–7" Monitors
Product description
These SP6HD desktop speaker stands come as a matched pair with all necessary hardware to attach most bookshelf or studio monitors. Included are two interchangeable top plates to accommodate different speaker footprints; each plate has a centered mounting hole and a 1/4"-20 screw so compatible speakers can be fastened to the stand.
The stands are fabricated from heavy-gauge steel for a low center of gravity and excellent rigidity. Isolation is provided by closed-cell foam pads under the base and beneath the speaker contact points to absorb surface vibrations and minimize energy transfer between cabinet and desk.
Each column rises 6 inches from the desk, positioning tweeters of 4"–7" speakers closer to ear level for improved clarity and imaging. The top plate can be rotated slightly—up to 15° left or right—so you can toe-in the speakers toward your listening position for better stereo focus.
For a cleaner setup, the support column is hollow so you can route speaker cables through the interior and out the base, reducing visible clutter. The wide base provides stability for a range of compact to mid-size monitors and keeps equipment secure on a desktop or shelf.
Pros
- Solid heavy-steel construction and thick isolation foam
- Two top plates and 1/4"-20 screw for secure mounting
- Hollow column conceals cables and frees desk space
Cons
- Cable routing openings are a bit tight for thick cables
- Limited horizontal toe-in range (about 15°)
- Top plate footprint may be smaller than some speaker bases
VerdictIf you want to tighten up imaging and remove desk resonance without replacing speakers, these heavy-steel 6" stands are an effective, simple solution. They bring tweeters to listening height, isolate cabinets with closed-cell foam, offer two plate sizes and secure mounting, and hide wiring inside a hollow column. Small limits include somewhat fiddly cable routing and modest toe-in range, but overa

Robust, nicely finished, very stable
These complement my speakers perfectly. Fabricated from thick metal with an attractive finish, they’re solid and steady. They look great on a desk and feel like high-end hardware — excellent overall.

Surprisingly solid build and great on a desk
The construction exceeded my expectations — very sturdy and the screws feel durable. I paired them with Klipsch bookshelf speakers and the swiveling top plate lets me aim the tweeters right at my ears. They look excellent on my workstation and I’d recommend them widely.

Worked well as a soundbar solution
I used slightly taller stands for a soundbar and they proved very stable. The baseplates are big and prevent tipping. I did need to use a couple of my own machine screws to fasten to the soundbar, since the included hardware wasn’t the right fit.

Exactly what I needed for a stable mount
Durable and straightforward to put together. Two top plate sizes made them usable for my needs. I routed cables inside the legs though I didn’t need that feature for this setup. They held a 19.3 lb ultra-short-throw projector securely and provided ample ventilation.

Clearer sound without new speakers — highly recommended
I had my monitors directly on the desk and the sound was muddy. These stands decoupled the cabinets and the foam pads stopped vibrations. With the tweeters aimed at ear level the sound opened up and became much clearer. The adjustable top plate made aligning my listening position easy.

Premium finish and great for a white desk setup
Right out of the box you can tell these are high quality — weighty, clean paintwork, and solid rigidity. Pointing the tweeter at ear height improved resolution and vocal presence. Hiding a thick MOGAMI cable inside the column kept my desk very tidy. Ideal if you want a cohesive white-desk look.

Solid design, holds larger monitors well
Very impressed with the metal construction and dense foam isolation. Despite a smaller top plate footprint than some monitors, these kept my M-Audio BX8a units perfectly stable at ideal ear height.

Simple upgrade that improves clarity
These stands lift small-to-medium bookshelf speakers to a better listening height, reduce desk vibration, and feel premium. Easy to assemble and neat-looking on a desk — a straightforward way to sharpen imaging.

Perfect fit for HS8 monitors
Excellent — they work well with HS8 monitors and provide a stable, elevated platform.

High-quality feel, premium option
These stands are well finished and have a satisfying weightiness. The rubberized pads on both plates help isolate vibrations, and the two plate sizes increase compatibility. They’re pricier than budget options, but if you value a refined build and finish you’ll be pleased.

Great aesthetics and stability, wire routing could improve
I like how they look and how steady they are, and the toe-in adjustment is handy. The internal cable access is too small for thicker cables, so assembly around wiring can be fiddly. I ended up running wires behind the pole and using cable mounts instead.

Professional-quality upgrade for reference monitors
The product is very well made and thoughtfully designed. Raising my reference monitors to ear level and removing desk contact made a clear difference in comfort and sound accuracy.

Versatile, well-equipped stands with minor quibble
I appreciated the internal cable routing, adjustable top seat angle, and included hardware. Two seat sizes make them adaptable to many speakers. The only small issue I’ve found so far is a minor fitment detail, but otherwise they’re excellent.
