5x7 Grey Low-Pile Area Rug — Thin, Soft, Non-Slip Floor Mat
Product description
What’s included: one 5' x 7' low-pile area rug. The face is a soft, dense synthetic pile designed for a pleasant underfoot feel without excessive loft.
Construction and materials: short, low-profile fibers form a thin surface that resists catching on door edges or furniture. A textured TPR (thermoplastic rubber) backing provides grip on smooth floors, helps protect underlying surfaces, and reduces sound transmission.
Care and cleaning: the mat can be laundered for deeper cleaning; follow garment-wash guidelines (cold cycle recommended) and gentle settings. For spot cleaning, light vacuuming or a carpet cleaner works for surface soils.
Performance and use: the low-pile design keeps the rug from bunching under rolling chairs and allows doors to clear the edge. It’s marketed as family- and pet-friendly for everyday rooms such as living rooms, bedrooms, trailers, kitchens, and dorms.
Shipping and first use: during compression packaging the rug may arrive folded or rolled and can show creases and a mild new-product scent. Lay it flat and allow 2–4 days at room temperature for fibers to settle and odors to fade; smoothing or reversing folds can help accelerate crease removal.
Pros
- Soft feel despite low pile
- TPR backing helps it stay put
- Machine-launderable for easy cleaning
Cons
- Very lightweight — may shift on some surfaces
- Short pile isn’t as cushioned as plush rugs
- May arrive folded with temporary creases and odor
VerdictA lightweight, low-profile rug that adds a soft layer underfoot without the bulk of thick carpets. The thin construction keeps doors and office chairs rolling freely while a TPR backing helps it stay in place on hard floors. It’s easy to launder for routine refreshes and is suitable for bedrooms, living areas, dorms, and nurseries, though those wanting a heavy, plush rug may find it too light.

Soft, but delayed arrival
Nice, soft rug and I’m satisfied with the texture. Shipping was slower than expected and it arrived almost a week late, but the product itself is fine.

Very green runner — not ideal for pets
This is a bright, tie-dye green runner — very bold. I purchased it to help my senior dog get traction, but the surface is too slick for him to grip. It’s soft and visually striking, just not helpful for preventing slips in my case.

Pleasant quality, works under desk
Happy with the material and how it performs over carpet under my chair and desk. It’s large and soft, and the chair wheels glide fine. Thick enough to feel cushioned but light when cleaning; vacuum carefully to avoid bunching. Simple, solid color.

Thin material with creases
Material is lightweight and feels light-duty. It was folded in the box so there are creases; directions recommend laying it flat and bending opposite folds to smooth them out. Pile is very short but soft — works well in my trailer to keep feet off cold linoleum. Ordered matching smaller sizes for other spots.

Lovely tie-dye runner
If you like tie-dye, this is a beautiful pick. I put it in front of my kitchen sink and it fills the space nicely. Soft underfoot and it stays put, a nice value for a long runner.

Not quite what I expected
This product isn’t a heavy carpet — it’s thin and behaves more like a mat. It can’t be treated like thick rug padding: vacuuming can snag or bunch it, and it can wrinkle rather than lie perfectly flat. The colors are attractive, but it doesn’t mimic full carpeting.

Good look for the cost
I like the rug’s appearance and texture, though I expected something a bit heavier. It moves more easily than I’d like but looks nice and is soft. I’ve used a carpet cleaner rather than machine washing because of its size. So far it’s holding up to my dogs’ activity.

Comfortable low-pile option
Bought the 4x6 for a bedroom and it’s been a straightforward upgrade. The surface is surprisingly soft for a thin rug and easy to lift and shake out. It’s lightweight so quick to move and the non-slip backing keeps it steady on hard floors. Neutral tone blends with different decor. Pros: soft, portable, washable; Cons: thin for those wanting plush cushioning.
