CAMP Neve 65 Ice Axe — Lightweight Mountaineering Axe
Product description
A cost-conscious ice axe made for general mountaineering tasks. It is supplied as a single CAMP Neve ice axe in a 65 cm length, suitable for typical alpine and snow-trail use.
The pick and adze are manufactured from chromoly steel, chosen to give a favorable strength-to-weight ratio for everyday mountaineering actions.
The pick features a continuous curved drop profile that promotes controlled self-arrest and secure placements on snowy slopes.
An ergonomically shaped adze is provided to chop through firm snow and to help shape T-trenches for snow pickets or anchors.
The shaft is straight and terminates in a steel spike, allowing clean plunges into snow and use as a simple anchor or stake when required.
