What’s in the box: the gate package includes the main metal gate frame with walk-through door, a 4-inch extension panel, pressure mounting hardware with wall cups, screw-mounted wall cup hardware and screws for permanent mounting, and a small wrench for final adjustments. All components needed for standard installation are provided.
Construction and dimensions: the gate is built from a mostly metal frame for durability and longevity. It stands 36 inches tall and expands to accommodate openings from 29 inches up to 36.5 inches wide. It fits openings 29–31.5 inches without the extension and 34–36.5 inches when the included 4-inch extension is attached. This gate will not fit openings between 31.5 inches and 34 inches.
How it works: the gate uses a pressure-mount design intended to avoid unnecessary drilling in many interior spaces. For a more fixed installation, the screw-mounted wall cups can be used. A front-facing walk-through door is fitted with a secure latch and lever-style handle so adults can open and close it one-handed while keeping the barrier effective for children and pets.
Intended use: designed for children aged 6 through 24 months and for small to medium pets, the gate helps block off stair bottoms, doorways, hallways, and rooms you want to keep out of bounds. It is not designed for use at the top of stairs and should not be relied on to contain larger, very active pets that can jump or push aggressively.
Installation notes and maintenance: follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully during installation. The gate should rest fully on the floor prior to setting tension. Wall cups must be used to maintain secure placement—without them the gate may be pushed out of position. Periodically check all hardware and tighten as needed. If any part is missing or damaged, do not use the gate until it is repaired or replaced.
Safety reminders: this product helps reduce access but does not eliminate all risks. Stop using the gate when a child can climb over or dislodge it. Never stack multiple gates to increase height. The gate should not be used to keep children away from pools or other hazards where a more secure barrier is required. Adult assembly is required; consult the instruction manual for full installation, use, and safety guidance.

Not secure when bumped
Works for keeping our small puppy contained, but I wouldn't rely on it for toddlers. The gate can pop out of the opening when bumped and parts can scatter. Our 36" doorway keeps the frame a bit loose, and the pressure-mount doesn’t tighten enough for our needs unless you screw it in, which we didn’t want to do. The 36" height is convenient for adults.

Best gate I’ve used
Perfect for keeping our little walker out of the kitchen. Took a minute to assemble but the instructions were clear and the sticker explaining the initial gap was reassuring. I’ve used several gates and this one is by far the most user-friendly so far.

Keeps pets out, would work for kids too
I bought this to keep my animals from getting into the bedroom and it does the job. My dog can’t squeeze through the bars and the metal frame feels solid. Multiple locking options on either side and it goes up quickly without leaving obvious marks on the walls. One-handed operation is easy and the whole unit feels sturdy enough that pets or children won’t force it open.

Easy for one person to install
As a 58-year-old I assembled this by myself with no issues — only the small wrench provided was needed. It keeps my two chihuahuas out of bedrooms reliably. The latch is simple and the material feels robust. I later added mesh guards to prevent my tiny pup from fitting her head through the rails.

Sturdy and tall, easy to use

Sturdy but limited door swing
Felt solid and was simple to put together, but I returned it because the doorway I needed it for is high traffic. The opening is fairly narrow and the gate only swings one way, which wasn’t ideal for my situation.

Solid for larger, calm pets
Well-built extra-tall gate that contains calmer, larger pets effectively. Metal frame feels dependable and the 36" height is helpful for taller animals. Great for blocking a room from cats
Used to stop our cats from entering a room while leaving the door open for airflow. Installation was reasonably straightforward, though the instructions are in very small type. Mostly metal construction feels strong enough to keep cats out. The latch works well and includes a spring catch for extra hold. It pressure mounts but screw cups are included if you want a firmer install. One downside: the gate only swings one way unless you reinstall it facing the other direction.

Hard for some adults to open
Exactly what we needed — so secure that even some adults struggle to open it, which is great for keeping kids out of certain areas.

Nice look but not fully pressure-secure
Attractive and the height is right for us, but the pressure-mount didn’t hold firmly and we had to use screws. If there’s a way to make it stable without drilling, I’d appreciate tips on how to do that.

Handy bathroom solution
Bought to keep dogs out of the bathroom litter area and it solved the problem. Much easier than the previous barrier I used; no more stepping over a gate or boxes. The bars might be a bit wide for some small animals, but overall it’s a nicer practical setup that’s less hassle to use multiple times a day.
