MidWest 42-Inch Folding Double-Door Dog Crate for Large Breeds
Product description
This 42-inch folding dog crate measures 42.88 x 28.75 x 30.38 inches and is sized for large breeds in the 71–90 lb range. It includes a divider panel to help the crate adapt as a puppy grows, a leak-proof plastic tray that pulls out for quick cleanups, rubber feet to protect floors and a carrying handle for easier transport. For dogs close to 90 lbs, consider stepping up to a larger model to ensure full comfort and freedom of movement.
Built from precision-welded metal wire and finished with a protective black electro-coat, the crate resists rust and everyday wear. Assembly requires no tools—simply unfold and lock the panels into place. Two entry points, a front door and a side door, allow flexible placement in a room or vehicle. Larger openings and a low threshold make it simpler for pets to enter, exit and settle in, which can ease crate training.
Security features include slide-bolt latches with locking tips and the patented Paw Block to reduce the chance of accidental openings. Rounded corner clips and smooth finishes are designed to prevent snags and cuts. When not in use the crate folds flat for compact storage or easy transport between locations.
The crate is intended for everyday home use and travel. It ships with the divider, the removable pan and standard hardware integrated so you have what you need right out of the box. Backed by a manufacturer's one-year warranty and supported by an Indiana-based customer care team, it aims to offer reliable performance and peace of mind for pet owners.

Great size for my tiny dachshund
This kennel fits my 9 lb mini dachshund perfectly—enough room to stand, turn and curl up. The plastic pan wipes clean easily and the whole unit feels durable.

Does what it promises
I had doubts about size but it fits my standard puppy well and will work as she grows. It’s firm, made of good material and easy to assemble—added a flat cushion for comfort. Highly recommend.

My rescue settled in right away
Set up was a snap—unfolded, secured the latches and it was ready. My 45–50 lb lab mix has room to stand and stretch. It’s a bit hard on bare metal so I added a blanket; the latches feel sturdy.

Two doors made it the right pick
I picked this for the double-door layout so I can place the crate different ways over time. Setup was simple, it includes the divider and the overall quality feels very good.

Durable option for a busy multi-dog household
As someone with six dogs, this 42" crate has held up well. Strong double-door design, solid latches, folds flat for storage and is easy to clean. Good size for larger dogs in the 71–90 lb range and very reliable.

Ideal for my Yorkie—lightweight but strong
Nice fit for my Yorkshire Terrier pup. The divider is useful so I won’t need a new crate as she grows. It’s lightweight for carrying but still feels well made. Rubber feet protect floors and there are no sharp edges.

Exactly what we needed for training
I used the divider for crate training my puppy and it worked well—keeps the space appropriately small so accidents are less likely. The pup now goes in willingly. Very simple assembly and solid construction.

Perfect small size for bedside use
I bought several smaller sizes (24 x 18 x 19) for elderly dogs. They fit up to ~20 lb breeds comfortably, sit on furniture if needed and fold up easily, yet they stay stable and quiet when set up.

Plenty of room for my growing pup
Bought the 42" with the divider for a 50 lb, 10-month-old Smooth Collie/Heeler mix. The extra length over a 36" crate lets him stretch out and sleep comfortably. Not as huge as the 48" model, but perfect for nighttime rest. Solid build and easy to fold when needed.

Spacious and practical for a growing mastiff mix
Needed something that would grow with a rapidly expanding puppy. The crate is very large—measure your space first. It arrived folded and was easy to pop open and lock; the removable tray and spacer panel are great features. It’s heavy but sturdy.
