OXO Good Grips Compact Toilet Brush & Canister — Gray
Product description
What you get: a single toilet brush with a replaceable head and a covered canister that stores the brush when not in use.
Brush design and materials: the brush has a tapered head fitted with durable blue bristles engineered to scrub beneath the rim and into hard-to-reach curves. The handle is molded plastic shaped for a comfortable, non-slip hold and built to withstand normal scrubbing pressure. The brush head is removable so the worn head can be replaced without discarding the entire unit.
Canister and drying features: the canister features a spring-open door that lifts as you lift the brush, so you don't have to balance the brush into place. Inside the base is a drip tray with ventilation slots that encourage faster evaporation of trapped water, keeping the interior drier between uses.
Sizing and footprint: the set is intentionally compact to fit into smaller bathrooms, powder rooms, or alongside tight toilet alcoves. Despite its small footprint, the canister fully conceals the brush for a tidier appearance.
How to use: lift the brush from the canister—its lid opens automatically—clean the bowl, then return the brush to the canister so the lid closes. When the brush head is worn, unscrew or twist it off and install a replacement head.
Pros
- Hands-free canister lid that opens when brush is lifted
- Tapered, durable bristles reach under the rim
- Compact design fits small bathrooms
Cons
- Canister may collect water if not emptied regularly
- Brush head firmness may be too soft or too firm for some tastes
- Some users report long-term leakage
VerdictA well-designed compact toilet brush set that balances cleanliness and convenience. The canister's lid lifts automatically when you pick up the brush, keeping the brush hidden when stored. The brush head is tapered with firm blue bristles for reaching under the rim and other tight spots, while the handle is shaped to feel stable in hand. The canister includes a ventilated drip tray to reduce stand

Practical and sanitary
Great brush; the canister closes over the brush so you don’t have to touch it. The inside stays reasonably clean.

Good value and replaceable heads
A neat way to keep the brush handy. The brush cleans effectively and the option to replace heads is very convenient.

Dependable and easy to maintain
This is my third purchase of the same model. The round brush cleans the bowl well and the storage closes hands-free every time. The container is simple to clean, and worn heads can be unscrewed and replaced through the manufacturer.

A real step up from basic brushes
I assumed all brushes were alike until I tried this. The construction is noticeably better and the stiffer bristles give a deeper clean. The handle is comfortable and the whole unit feels built to last many cleanings.

Finally, the right brush
Doesn’t drip, cleans effectively, and looks tidy. I purchased three for my home and expect them to last a long time.

Works well but longevity concern
Overall a good brush with solid cleaning, but the canister began to leak after about a year of use.

Simple, effective styling
Bought these for a new house based on recommendations. They perform well and stay low-profile. I like the minimal, unobtrusive look and light weight.

Excellent—might make you enjoy cleaning
Surprisingly good. The handle is wide and easy to grip, helping people with limited coordination. The pick-up design is simple—no tricky insertion—and setting it down is straightforward. The brush head shape and texture fit well in most bowls and the replaceable head is a big plus. My only minor note is that the bristles could be slightly firmer for tackling mineral buildup.

Beware of water collecting in the holder
In theory the design is great, but in practice water can remain in the holder. No matter how carefully I try to shake or drain the brush, some water ends up in the base. Occasionally the holder collects enough liquid that moving it spills water onto the floor. Emptying it is awkward and messy; this became a dealbreaker for me.

Clean, hygienic, and durable
Cleans well, stays hygienic, and seems built to last. I don’t want to use anything else.

Good, but firmer than expected
Good quality, though I thought the bristles would be softer than they are.

Solid build and thoughtful engineering
I compared many options and picked this one for its sturdy feel. The handle is heavier and more rigid than cheaper models, which makes scrubbing less unpleasant. The grip is comfortable and only the top is handled during use. The bristles are firm and the taper helps reach under the rim—overall it feels like a product designed to perform rather than cut costs.

Compact, neat, and practical
I own two of these. The automatic open/close feature is convenient and eliminates the awkward balancing act. Bristles clean well without forcing, and the tapered shape helps under the rim. The head can be replaced, which saves money and waste. I found the head was firmly attached out of the box and didn’t come loose during regular use.
