Magnetic Stacking Cubes — Large 1.65 in Building Blocks for Toddlers
Product description
Each set includes a collection of cubic magnetic blocks and a small illustrated booklet of building ideas. Every cube is 1.65 x 1.65 x 1.65 inches (about 4.2 x 4.2 x 4.2 cm), and the set offers six solid rainbow colors so kids can sort, stack and learn color recognition.
The blocks are made from durable plastic and house tiny magnets fully enclosed within each cube so the magnetic pieces cannot fall out in normal use. Corners and edges are rounded and smoothed to give a comfortable grip for small hands and to reduce scraping or poking while stacking.
A compact activity booklet shows simple projects — animals, vehicles, plants and basic buildings — to spark imaginative construction. The cubes are water-resistant, so they can be used during bath time as rattles and stacking toys. Their weight and size are aimed at toddlers, making them suitable for parent–child interaction, sensory play and Montessori-style exploration.
As children develop, the same blocks can support early STEM concepts: color sorting, counting, pattern making and basic geometry. Recommended age ranges in use include toddlers and preschoolers, and the set is commonly chosen for birthdays, classroom rewards and family gatherings where cooperative building encourages shared play.
Pros
- Toddler-friendly 1.65 in cubes with rounded edges
- Magnets sealed inside for safer play
- Water-resistant and includes activity booklet
Cons
- One small set limits the size of constructions
- May still be unsuitable for children under recommended ages
- Some buyers report expecting larger pieces from photos
VerdictThese chunky magnetic cubes are well suited to toddlers: each cube measures 1.65 in (4.2 cm) and has sealed magnets to reduce risk of detachment. Rounded corners, vivid colors and a simple activity booklet support early fine motor skills, stacking and imaginative play. Durable and water-resistant, they work as bath toys and classroom manipulatives. If you want bigger builds, opt for a larger quant

Order the bigger pack — toddlers will want more
Started with the 24-piece pack and my 15-month-old played nonstop for about 20 minutes. I’m already ordering a larger set so he can build bigger creations. The magnets hold without being too strong, and the cube size works well for little hands.

Liked better than regular blocks
My 18-month-old grandson prefers these over plain blocks. I added another set because we wanted more pieces to expand play.

My toddler can stack tall towers
My 1.5-year-old loves them — magnets are strong enough to support tall stacks but not so strong they’re frustrating. Big enough that I don’t worry about her swallowing them, and they double as little shakers.

Children love them
The kids who spend afternoons with me head straight for these blocks. They invent stories and build all kinds of things. Safe for small mouths due to the chunkier size.

Hands-on Montessori/ STEM toy that grows with them
Bright, inviting colors and a size that’s easy for toddlers to grasp. Sealed magnets give peace of mind, and these cubes help with fine motor skills, sorting, counting and simple building as kids get older.

Perfect for babies and toddlers
Ideal for my one-year-old — large enough not to fit in her mouth, fun as little rattles, and easy for her to hold. Magnets hold bricks together without pinching.

A hit with my grandchild
These encourage successful building since the pieces stick together. Right size and weight for small hands, and the colors are great for sorting and counting games.

Great little creative magnets
My one-year-old nephew plays with these constantly. The pieces are large enough to avoid mouthing concerns, the colors are cheerful, and the magnets keep structures stable for longer play.

Rattles and just-right magnets
My son has enjoyed these from an early age. They rattle and the magnets are the right strength for tiny hands. Highly recommended.

Smaller than expected
The photos suggested larger cubes, but my set arrived with pieces about half the size I expected. Too small for infants who mouth everything and could be a choking risk.

Motivating and stable for little builders
Works well for our grandson — towers don’t fall over immediately and he stays engaged with building.
