Coghlan's 6 ft Bungee Clothesline — Compact Travel & Camping Drying Cord
Product description
No clothespins required
Featherweight and portable
Unstretched length: 6 ft (1.8 m)
Mounts almost anywhere with carabiner-style hooks
This bungee clothesline arrives as a single cord made from two interlaced elastic strands that create tension to hold garments in place without pegs. Each end is fitted with a substantial plastic clip and a carabiner-style hook so you can anchor the line to trees, rails, towel racks, shower fixtures or improvised anchors.
Designed for campers, hikers and travelers, the cord is compact and rolls up to tuck into luggage or a pack. The braided elastic resists soaking up water and sets up quickly; when not in use it folds flat for easy storage. The unstretched length is approximately 6 ft (1.8 m), offering enough span for shirts, towels and multiple small items while still being easy to fit into tight spaces.
Pros
- No clothespins needed
- Compact and lightweight
- Fast, tool-free setup
Cons
- May be long for small hotel bathrooms
- Plastic clips can be bulky
- Not meant for very heavy loads
VerdictA simple, portable solution for drying clothes on the road or in the outdoors. The dual braided elastic holds garments without clothespins, and the robust end clips and carabiner-style hooks make setup fast on trees, poles or in bathroom spaces. Ideal for multi-day trips when you need to launder and dry items quickly.

Heel handig
Werkt erg goed. Meerdere manieren om te bevestigen en het rekt mooi uit.

Surprisingly heavy‑duty
Bigger than it looks online. Good quality and quite sturdy—maybe more robust than I needed, but solid construction.

Great purchase
Very pleased. Bought two for camping and they were simple to rig between trees using extra rope and the sturdy end clips. Clothes stayed put without pins and friends all wanted one. Only used a few days so far, but a solid buy.

Practical with room for improvement
Well constructed but a bit long for small bathrooms, so I often overlap it or zigzag to get tension. That lets you hang more items. I removed the plastic clamps and used Velcro straps for lighter packing—worked great on a long hot-weather trip.

Ideal for travel
I take this on trips for quick sink washes. It tucks into carry-on space and the loops hold shirts and underwear without hangers. Very handy—highly recommend.

Camping laundry, made fun
Bought for camping and it’s brilliant. No pins—tuck items between the braided cords and they stay put. Stretches nicely and hooks to trees or poles; holds up in wind and with heavier pieces. Perfect for wild sock rescues. 10/10.

Saved our minimalist Europe trip
Bought for a nine-day, carry-on-only family trip and it was indispensable. We washed several items each night and dried them with this line. Sometimes we had to improvise anchors—chairs, shower heads or towel bars—but it always worked. Highly recommend for light travelers.

Súper práctico. Fácil de transportar y con ganchos para colgar en cualquier sitio. Materiales resistentes y suficiente espacio para muchas prendas. Lo usamos casi a diario; lástima que lo olvidamos al final del viaje.

Built tough for extended car camping
Looks cheaper in photos, but it’s very well made. I use it on longer car trips to cut down on how many clothes I pack. Unlike paracord or webbing, this dries fast and won’t stay wet. Easy to string up and take down—worth it for multi-week road travel.
