71.3" Heavy-Duty Metal Garage Shelving — 4-Tier Adjustable Utility Rack
Product description
Heavy-duty all-metal construction
The shelving unit is built from cold-rolled steel with enlarged upright columns and beefed-up beams to increase rigidity and load-bearing ability. Each shelf panel is supported by multiple reinforcing ribs beneath the surface, giving the assembled rack a rated total capacity that the manufacturer advertises at 5,000 pounds when properly distributed across the unit.
Adjustable layout and expandable design
Each tier can be repositioned by moving the crossbars to different hole positions, so you can tailor shelf heights for tall containers or awkward items. Multiple identical units can be paired side-by-side and linked together to create longer runs or larger storage banks, making the system adaptable for garages, warehouses, shops, basements, retail stockrooms and similar spaces.
Diagonal braces and lateral stabilizers
The frame uses diagonal braces and side horizontal bars to form triangular load paths that reduce twisting and bending. By tying the uprights and beams together, these braces help distribute weight evenly and improve overall squareness and steadiness of the shelving when loaded.
Modular, removable shelf panels
Each shelf is made from detachable metal panels so you can remove individual sections rather than a whole shelf if you need space for taller objects. This modular approach allows mixed storage — for example, leaving a cutout for a 5-gallon bucket stack next to shorter boxes — and increases organizational flexibility.
Protective finishes and safety features
The steel is finished with an electrostatically applied powder coat to resist corrosion, scratches and wear. Locking pins secure beams to uprights to reduce accidental disassembly and increase rigidity. Protective foot pads sit under the uprights to help prevent floor scratches and to stabilize the unit on hard surfaces.
Included hardware and support
The shelving ships with all necessary hardware and a step-by-step manual to speed assembly. The manufacturer provides installation guidance and video resources online, and offers customer support for setup questions with a commitment to respond promptly if assistance is needed.
Pros
- Adjustable shelf heights and removable panels for flexible storage
- Cold‑rolled steel frame with cross braces for improved stability
- Powder coat, locking pins and foot pads for protection and safety
Cons
- Metal gauge may be lighter than expected for extreme industrial loads
- Some pieces may need minor straightening or adjustment during assembly
- Assembly is easier with two people for alignment of braces
VerdictThis 4-tier metal shelving unit offers a robust-looking solution for large-scale storage needs. The cold‑rolled steel frame, reinforced beams and multiple cross braces give it solid stability for everyday garage, shop or warehouse use. Adjustable shelf heights and detachable shelf panels provide flexible organization, and the powder-coated surface plus locking pins and foot pads improve durability

Quality control needs work
Several welds were rough and one panel arrived bent — I had to hammer and file a few spots to straighten them.

Fast, helpful communication
Shelves assembled easily and seem sturdy. When one box was delayed, the manufacturer checked tracking quickly and provided the info I needed; the missing package arrived the next day.

Works well as TV stand and storage
I use it in my living room for storage and as a TV stand — very happy with how it looks and functions.

Adjustable and durable, with a few quirks
Powder coat looks good and removable shelf sections are very useful for taller items. Setup is straightforward though not instantaneous. The individual panels can flex a bit and the unloaded unit may twist when moved, but it stiffens up once loaded.

Much weaker than claimed
Assembly was easy — my son and I built it in about 30 minutes. It’s fine for lightweight storage, but the advertised 5,000 lb rating is unrealistic. The steel is thin and feels low quality; I wouldn’t load heavy canned goods or concentrated weights. Good for totes, bedding and light gear, not heavy industrial loads.

Not truly industrial — fairly flimsy
Don’t expect heavy industrial strength. The metal is light and feels flimsy for garage use; I’ll return it and look for a heavier-duty local option.

Excellent value and sturdy
Great shelving at a good price with easy assembly. I’m pleased and would recommend it.

Solid, level and looks sharp
Putting these together is doable solo but much smoother with two people. They feel strong and once assembled the rack sits square and plumb. I initially worried the shelf spacing was too tight for taller bins, but that resolved after assembly. Watch the instructions on the placement of side horizontals and diagonals — those affect frame bracing, not shelf spacing.
