45-inch 4-Tine Steel Garden Spading Fork with Hardwood Handle
Product description
This garden fork includes a four-tine steel head, a metal Y-shaped grip collar and a 45-inch hardwood handle for balanced leverage and control. The tines are made from hardened steel to penetrate soil, lift bulbs, split soil when double-digging, and turn compost piles.
The Y-style grip is constructed from metal rather than plastic so it resists fading, cracking and UV damage. The handle is solid hardwood — chosen to provide strength and an eco-friendlier alternative to fiberglass — and is finished smooth for comfort while reducing the chance of splintering.
Overall length of the tool is approximately 45 inches and the unit weighs about 4.5 pounds, a size that makes it manageable for many users including those of smaller stature or reduced strength. It can be used for tasks such as transplanting, digging potatoes, aerating beds, mucking out stalls, and lifting bedding or mulch.
The design emphasizes durability: reinforced connection points between the head and shaft and sharpened tines to ease soil penetration. The lighter overall weight and shorter handle compared with full-length pitchforks help reduce strain on the back during repeated use.
The manufacturer states extensive testing for longevity and offers customer support if any issues arise. If you have questions while using the fork, contact the seller for assistance and warranty information.

Sharp and ready to go
Arrived assembled and well packed. Tines are quite sharp, which helps when dividing perennials and moving plants. I’m rough on tools, so time will tell, but so far it’s doing well.

Solid tool for home gardens
Performs tasks reliably and cost-effectively compared to big-box options. The handle is a bit shorter than I expected but it hasn’t caused problems. Feels sturdy and not overly heavy, so it’s easy to use around the yard.

Very sturdy and excellent value. The handle feels secure and the metal tines are sharp. Sized well for my height — I’m 5'3" and can use it comfortably.

A must-have for new gardeners
I’m fairly new to gardening and this tool made a big difference. Great for breaking and turning soil and I’ll use it for harvesting potatoes. The length reduces strain on my back — I recommend it to other gardeners.

Design concerns — weak connection
Initially seemed sturdy, but after one use I noticed wobble at the joint where the head meets the shaft. There’s a single rivet and a slot at that junction which allows movement. Might work for light tasks like harvesting potatoes, but I wouldn’t trust it for heavy yard work.

Nice fork but packaging odd
Looks well made and I haven’t had issues yet. The wood finish is nice but the label stuck to it won’t peel off cleanly. It arrived in an unnecessarily huge box which was annoying to discard, but overall I’m pleased with the fork.
