12" Folding Wooden Magnetic Chess & Checkers Travel Set
Product description
This 12" x 12" wooden game board supports both International Chess and standard Checkers, offering two classic games in one compact unit. The set includes 32 chess pieces and 24 checkers pieces, all sized to work comfortably on the 12-inch grid.
Each playing piece has a magnetic base intended to keep it anchored to the board during play and transit. The board itself folds cleanly in half to form a carrying case; inside you’ll find felt-lined compartments designed to hold each piece in place and prevent scratching or loss.
Crafted primarily from wood with felted storage surfaces, the board is built for regular use at home or while traveling. Its dimensions and lightweight construction make it easy to slip into a bag for road trips, flights, camping, or weekend getaways, so you can enjoy a match almost anywhere.
Beyond portability, this set is useful as an educational and social tool. Playing chess or checkers helps develop logic, planning, and patience, making it a suitable activity for both children and adults and a pleasant option for family game nights.
To use, unfold the board, remove pieces from their felt slots, set up the starting positions for chess or checkers, and play. When finished, return pieces to their compartments and fold the board shut for secure storage and transport.

Exactly what was described
The board and pieces feel solid for the price. The pieces have a nice heft. My item matched the listing’s description precisely and performs as expected.

Good quality, wish magnets were stronger
The build quality is nice. I only wish the magnets held a bit more firmly, but otherwise it’s a great set.

Chess pieces magnetized, checkers not always
The chess pieces have magnets but the checkers I received weren’t magnetic. That felt misleading in the description, though the board and pieces are otherwise good.

Handy travel board and good value
Fast delivery and a pleasant-feeling board. A few small leather flaws and a couple of pieces needed minor reattaching, but it plays well. Compact yet easy to handle — a bargain for travelers.
