Viking Revolution Genuine Badger Shaving Brush — Classic Wet Shave Brush
Product description
What’s included: one shaving brush (single unit) featuring genuine badger hair bristles intended for classic wet shaving.
Materials and feel: The knot is made from natural badger hairs that are densely packed to build a creamy lather quickly while offering gentle exfoliation. The handle is shaped for a comfortable, non-slip grip during use.
How to use and compatibility: Wet the bristles, load with shaving cream or shaving soap, then work the brush in circular motions to generate a warm, thick lather before applying to the face. It pairs well with traditional double-edge safety razors and is suitable as an everyday brush or a travel companion.
Pros
- Creates rich, creamy lather quickly
- Soft natural bristles provide gentle exfoliation
- Comfortable, easy-to-hold handle
Cons
- May shed some hairs during initial uses
- Slight natural odor at first
- Not as coarse as boar brushes for heavy scrubbing
VerdictA straightforward, single-brush option for wet-shaving enthusiasts who want natural badger hair without a premium outlay. It excels at producing rich lather and feels soft on the skin, though some users report initial shedding and a mild natural scent. Good for beginners and as a travel or backup brush.

Nice shave
Works well — noticeably softer than boar hair. Hoping it lasts longer than my last brush.

Soft bristles, reliable handle
Enjoy using this. The hairs are softer than the synthetic brush I had before. After weeks of use I haven’t noticed any shedding.

Long-lasting and dependable
I’ve had mine for a couple years and it’s still going. The initial strong odor faded after a few uses and the logo has worn off over time. Occasional single hairs come loose, but overall very satisfied.

Good performance but shedding concern
Solid brush for the money — soft yet firm and builds lather easily. Main drawback is some bristle loss; useful as a starter or interim brush but keep an eye on shedding.

Excellent for soap lathers
Replaced an old brush and this outperforms it. Works great with my shave soaps and whips up a nice lather.

Stiff at first but improves
If you judge it on first uses alone it seems very hard, but repeated use softened the hairs considerably.

Too rough for me
The bristles felt very stiff and scratchy right from the first shave. Not comfortable — I wouldn’t recommend it.

Works well but sheds and has a mild scent
A few bristles came out over the first several shaves — one, then several, then a couple. There’s a mild musky smell when you use it, but it does lather soap effectively. Expect some soap run-off down the handle while building a face lather. Considering what it is, it performs adequately.

High-quality feel and performance
I've wet-shaved for years and compare handles, bristles, and assembly. The handle feels sturdy with a consistent finish and a comfortable profile. The bristles are well-shaped, fairly thick, and soft right away. They also smelled less pungent than many other natural brushes; I rinse mine with warm water and a mild soap.
