Hard-Shell Game Boy Cartridge Carrying Case — Fits Original & Color, 22 Slots
Product description
Hard outer shell and compact footprint: This cartridge case uses a tough EVA exterior to shield games from knocks and moisture. The case measures about 8.5" x 4.0" x 3.5" on the outside, giving a travel-friendly profile that still packs storage for a collection.
Padded interior with molded bubble slots: Inside there are molded, cushioned slots designed to hold Game Boy and Game Boy Color cartridges upright and separate. The interior compartment measures about 7.5" x 2.5" x 2.5", and the layout accommodates up to 22 standard cartridges when they are stored without bulky protective sleeves.
Dust, scratch and impact protection: Soft, impact-absorbing padding lines the inside to reduce movement and guard labels from scuffs, dust, and minor drops. The snug slots help keep each cartridge from shifting, preserving both the shell and the artwork.
Durable closures and carrying options: Heavy-duty zippers secure the lid and run around the case for quick access. A built-in rubberized handle provides a comfortable grip, and a removable carabiner lets you clip the case to a backpack or belt loop for on-the-go convenience.
How to use it: Slide each cartridge into its own molded slot with the contacts facing inward to minimize wear. If you use thicker plastic dust covers or carts with extra height (for example, units with rumble packs), expect reduced capacity and the need to slightly tilt cartridges to close the zipper. The small side pocket is useful for cables or a few extra loose items.
Pros
- Rigid EVA shell offers solid drop and moisture resistance
- Molded padded slots keep up to 22 cartridges neatly organized
- Comfortable handle and removable carabiner for travel
Cons
- Capacity decreases if cartridges have plastic dust covers
- Some taller carts (rumble packs) may require tilting to fit
- Zipper can be a bit stiff around the corners
VerdictA compact, protective solution for collectors and travelers who want to carry a selection of original and Color Game Boy cartridges. The molded padded interior secures carts upright, while the EVA shell and robust zipper protect from impacts, dust, and moisture. Works very well for bare cartridges; capacity drops if you keep individual plastic dust covers or taller carts with rumble modules. Handy

Protects games and fits extras
Does the job well. You’ll fit fewer items with plastic covers on, but there’s still room for cords in the side pocket. Very useful for the price.

Solid case for my cartridges
Well-made case with good materials and a sturdy zipper. Holds the full 22 carts only without dust sleeves; with covers expect closer to 15. I use it for travel to bring a small game selection.

Good snug fit, watch for covers
Games sit tight and secure. Plastic dust covers will limit how many you can close — cartridges need to tilt slightly for the zipper to seal. I keep my covers on despite the space hit.

Great travel companion
Easy to carry when traveling and fits more GBA-style cartridges than some basic Game Boy holders.

Compact and exactly what I needed
Fantastic find. I’d been improvising storage for years; this case is compact and purpose-built. I managed to stash 22 in the main slots and a few extras in the side pouch, then ordered another one.

Built tough and accommodates sleeved carts
Love the design — it lets me keep carts inside their individual plastic sleeves, unlike many other holders sized exactly to the cartridge. I do angle sleeved carts slightly to close it, costing maybe one slot. Zipper is a bit tight on the corners but overall excellent.

Great for standard cartridges
Five stars for general use. If you only have plain GB/GBC carts it’s nearly perfect, but rumble-pack titles like Pokemon Pinball sit taller and force a slant that reduces capacity.
