The AT617a is a dedicated stylus cleaner made from a specially formulated polyurethane gel. The package contains the gel cleaning pad housed for storage and protection; the material is engineered to pick up particles without harming delicate stylus tips.
The pad is 37.5 mm (1.48") in diameter and 17 mm (0.67") tall, providing a flat contact area suitable for most cartridge tips. Its surface remains tacky for years under normal use and can be rinsed with water to clear accumulated dust and restore its grip.
Usage is simple: lower the stylus gently onto the gel, lift, and repeat until the tip appears clean. Because the surface is washable, the pad can be reused many times, making it a convenient tool for routine turntable maintenance without relying on solvents.
